You are my daughter, my kingdom is yours.

Updated: Feb 12, 2024

I was sitting in the front yard of my house, enjoying the beautiful weather when I decided to take a picture to capture this moment in my life. At first, I was trying to crop out my car, so it wouldn’t be in the scenery, but I realized that someday I would like to look back and show my kids and grandkids pictures of my life at every stage. So I widened the angle and I realize that I have three cars. Two in my name, and a third that I am driving in this season. But the cars are not actually mine. They were all given to me by my mom. (Don’t get me wrong I have bought my own cars in the past, but when mine was wrecked by the drunk driving of the father of my children, she gave me one, and then another, and then another, to get by until I could get one myself) 3 in the course of two years.

All my life everything she owns has been mine to use. Freely and generously she has faithfully given all she has. Not just to me, but to anyone in need. A pure picture of Christ's sacrificial love, acted out in flesh.

Then the Lord said that is how I love you “You are my daughter, my Kingdom is yours. Everything I have, everything I Am, has, is, and will always be yours.”

And I was reminded of the older brother in the prodigal story. Angry and covetous of the younger enjoying his feast. How he had always been blessed with the fruits of his fathers household. Always had the access but never taken advantage of it. I always associate myself with the younger lol because that is who I have been more often, but in this season, the Lord is trying to impress upon me, the responsibility and understanding of my relationship to him. What Sonship looks like in the Kingdom. How I am to carry myself, and conduct myself throughout my days as an ambassador. The authority I carry, and the weight of it.

A long time ago he told me “Put on your crown in the morning and remind yourself of all of my promises.” I think it is time that we live intentionally. That in the morning we rise, and we do not let our time dictate us, but we dictate to our time, according to the word, and will of the Lord. The God of heavens armies whom the wind and waves obey as adopted us into his own family, and called us his heirs. Everything that we ask of the father in the name of Christ he will do. It is time to live in boldness and STAND on the promises of the Lord. Salvation, healing, peace, grace, mercy, power, eternal life, these are the portion of the redeemed of the Lord. Let us walk in them and in his perfect love.
